What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data that websites can store through a browser. Modern websites can also use related browser technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage. These tools can support essential functions, remember choices, measure usage or personalize an interface depending on how they are configured.
This prototype uses localStorage and sessionStorage directly. It does not load optional analytics scripts by default.
Necessary cookies and storage
Necessary storage supports functions that the visitor actively expects, such as remembering privacy choices and preventing the age-verification prompt from repeating continuously within the same session after successful confirmation. Because those functions are essential to the requested site experience, the Necessary category is shown as always active in Cookie Settings.
Analytics cookies
Analytics technologies can help a website operator understand broad patterns such as popular pages, device categories or navigation flows. The cookie settings interface includes an optional Analytics switch so the site is ready for a consent-aware analytics integration if one is added later.
No optional third-party analytics library is included in this prototype. If a live analytics service is introduced, it should be initialized only after the visitor grants the relevant consent, and this policy should be updated with accurate provider and retention details.
Preference cookies
Preference storage can remember non-essential interface choices. The prototype includes a Preferences toggle but does not currently use it to load third-party services. Future preference features should respect the stored consent state before writing optional data.
localStorage and sessionStorage
localStorage generally remains available to the same site in a browser until it is cleared, replaced or removed. sessionStorage normally lasts only for the current browser tab or session. They are not identical to traditional cookies, but they can serve similar purposes and are therefore described together in this policy.
Age-verification storage
When a visitor selects “Yes, I am 18+”, the prototype stores a simple confirmation value in sessionStorage. This value does not record a date of birth or identity document. Its purpose is only to avoid immediately repeating the age gate during the same session.
If a visitor selects “No, exit”, the site displays an access-restricted screen instead of recording successful age confirmation.
Cookie-consent storage
The prototype stores a consent object in localStorage after the visitor chooses Accept All, Reject Non-Essential or saves custom settings. The stored object records that necessary storage is active, whether Analytics and Preferences were allowed, and a timestamp for when the choice was saved.
How to change your settings
You can reopen the site's Cookie Settings panel at any time using the button below or the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Saving new settings replaces the previous optional-consent choices stored for this site.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage. Clearing the browser's site data may remove the stored PampaPlay consent choice and age-session value, so the corresponding prompts can appear again. Browser controls vary by product and version, so visitors should use the help materials for their own browser if they need detailed instructions.
Retention concepts
Storage should remain only as long as it serves its stated purpose. In this prototype, the age confirmation uses sessionStorage and is therefore session-oriented, while cookie preferences use localStorage and may remain until changed or cleared. If additional cookies or vendor technologies are introduced, their actual lifetimes should be documented here.
Third-party services
The homepage contains a link that can open a map search in a separate third-party service. Merely displaying that link does not require loading an embedded map or setting a map-provider cookie on the PampaPlay page. If embedded maps, analytics, marketing tools or other third-party scripts are added later, their storage behavior should be reviewed and the consent mechanism updated where needed.
Policy updates
This policy should be updated when storage technologies, purposes or providers change. The Last updated date at the top should be revised whenever a material change is published. Visitors can return to this page to review the current explanation.
